International Summit of Co-operatives was held in Quebec City between October 6 and 9 and more than 3,000 people attended from 93 countries. The Summit moved the co-operative conversation forward to strategic discussions about solving global issues in 2014, with an emphasis on innovation.
Health care was one of the main themes of the Summit. It was explored through forums, round tables, presentations and interactive debates.

Forum Local Health Care and Social Services
On Wednesday October 8, the round table entitled Access to Health Care and Social Services featured IHCO President José Carlos Guisado and IHCO Vicepresident Eudes Aquino. On Thursday October 9, IHCO Board members Vanessa Hammond, Toshinori Ozeki and Ricardo López participated at forum Local Health Care and Social Services. The findings of the international study Better Health & Social Care was also unveiled at the Summit.
